Pamela Anderson: I had a beautiful and confused life

Pamela, who plays a seasoned variety actress in the film, tells Entertainment Weekly, "Sometimes I look back on my life and think I could have done this differently, but to be able to look back and say those things, you need life experience. I really love acting and I've taken a lot of private lessons and I finally felt like this was an opportunity to put it into practice."

Pamela is actually enjoying the role of the film's main character.

"I knew I was capable of more than what I'd done in the past, and I kind of had given up, I'd gone home and thought, oh well, this is too bad. I screwed up. I didn't work hard enough or people just see me a certain way because I've fallen into the trap. I want to be defined by what I do, not what's done to me," she said.

Meanwhile, Pamela previously admitted she was "painfully shy" in her younger years.

The actress - who played the role of Casey Jean "CJ" Parker in "Lifeguards on the Beach" in the 1990s - said society's perception of her did not match reality.
