Oprah Winfrey revealed how she lost 18 pounds naturally in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. The 69-year-old TV host denied rumors that she lost weight thanks to Ozempic, a diabetes drug popular among celebrities.
"Not just one thing helped me lose weight, but a complex of measures. I had to change many things in my lifestyle. And I intend to continue doing it. Today, for example, I was on the treadmill," she told a journalist of the publication at the recent premiere of The Color Purple.
It should be noted that Oprah is losing weight gradually: last year it was noticed that she got rid of a few extra pounds.
However, many remain skeptical of the star's claims that she lost weight naturally. The transformation of the TV presenter is actively discussed on social networks, wondering how she managed to change so quickly. "It's a fact: Oprah lost weight dramatically! Did she, following other stars, get hooked on diabetic injections? It's hard not to suspect those who have been full all their life, but have slimmed down for a short time," notes the Telegram channel " Only nobody".
Oprah Winfrey has previously insisted that she did not use weight loss drugs. In September, she opened up about her struggle with being overweight while speaking at the launch of her TV series The Life You Want. "I don't know any other public figure whose weight problems have been discussed as much as mine. That's one of the reasons I'm so ashamed of them, and even when I first heard about diet pills I thought, 'I have to to do it myself, because if I take the drug, it will be too easy way out, but a dangerous choice," the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.
She added that she decided to "take the hard way and keep walking towards her goal like she's on top of a mountain" and honestly "suffer her better physical shape".
Oprah was categorical that "our world has always been ashamed of overweight people" and that obese people "have always been treated in a different and ugly way"./BGNES
