Family, friends and the former bandmates of One Direction star Liam Payne attended his funeral. It took place just over a month after the 31-year-old singer's death.
The private service took place on November 20 in Buckinghamshire, northwest of London, the BBC reported.
The musician died after falling from a third-floor balcony of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina in October.
Payne's former bandmates Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zane Malik and Louis Tomlinson are among the guests, along with Liam's girlfriend Kate Cassidy.
Girls Aloud singers Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts will also attend the service, as will presenters James Corden, Marvin and Rochelle Humes, Scott Mills and Adrian Childs.
Flowers in the form of a set of 10 skittles and a bowling ball were presented at the funeral. This is a reference to one of Payne's favorite pastimes.
A small crowd of onlookers gathered outside the church, but fans largely stayed away. Members of One Direction's Reddit group reminded everyone that " memorials are for the fans and funerals are for the family."
In a brief statement after his death, Payne's family said: "We are heartbroken. Liam will always live in our hearts and we will remember him for his kind, funny and brave soul."
An autopsy confirmed the 31-year-old singer suffered internal and external bleeding and multiple traumatic injuries sustained as a result of the fall.
Payne was one of the most recognisable names in pop music after rising to fame on The X Factor.
Despite only coming third on the show in 2010, One Direction became the biggest British band since The Beatles.
During their five-year career they sold 70 million records, with four number one singles and four number one albums in the UK.
Co-writing many of their hits, Payne also achieved solo success with songs such as "Strip That Down" and "Bedroom Floor".
He is survived by his parents, his two sisters and Bear, his son with Girls Aloud singer Cheryl. | BGNES
