Olivia Rodrigo and Stevie Wonder join benefit concert for L.A. fires

Olivia Rodrigo and Stevie Wonder are among the latest performers to join the lineup at FireAid's upcoming benefit concert for the Los Angeles fires.

The two singers have agreed to perform at the event, which will be held at two venues, the Inuit Dome and the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on January 30. The purpose of the concert is to raise money for the victims of the California wildfires that have claimed at least 27 lives and destroyed thousands of buildings across the state.

The lineup will also be joined by Alanis Morissette, John Fogerty, the Black Crowes and Graham Nash, as well as previously announced artists Lady Gaga, Billy Eilish, Stevie Nicks, Katy Perry and Sting.

Gwen Stefani was previously on the list of performers, but it has since been confirmed that she will reunite with her band No Doubt for the event after a ten-year hiatus.

The concert has been described as an "evening of music and solidarity" to raise vital funds to help communities devastated by the fires.

It will be broadcast on services such as Apple Music and Apple TV, iHeartRadio,Netflix/Tudom, Paramount+, Prime Video, SiriusXM, YouTube and others, and will be shown in a number of cinemas across the US.

The Los Angeles Clippers will cover all costs associated with the event so that all proceeds can go towards rebuilding communities and seeking preventative measures to stop future disasters. | BGNES
