WBC, WBA and WBO world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk visited Bulgaria earlier in the day. This became clear from a post by the Ukrainian boxer on his Instagram profile.
Usyk arrived in the country to film a promo for the rematch with Tyson Fury. The fight between the two will take place on December 21 in Riyadh, where the first match took place.
Usyk then defeated the "Gypsy King" by split decision after 12 rounds. In this way, he also became the absolute heavyweight champion of the world - the first since 1999, when Lennox Lewis was the ruler of the division. Usyk subsequently vacated the IBF belt after failing to defend it against mandatory challenger Filip Hergovic of Croatia.
Meanwhile, Usyk first posed in front of the St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Sofia, and then his walk passed through the capital's Municipality. The Ukrainian also visited the cinema center in the "Boyana" district. After filming the promo video, he and his staff left Bulgaria. | BGNES
