No goals between Germany and Ukraine in Nuremberg

Germany failed to win the first of their two friendlies before the start of the home European football championship. At the "Frankenstadion" in Nuremberg, the German team drew 0:0 with Ukraine.

Julian Nagelsmann's men had more possession and the better chances of the match, but were unable to break through the Ukrainian defence, led by goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin.

So the Germans will rely on Friday's friendly with Greece to give them as good a dress rehearsal as possible before the start of Euro 2024. Nagelsmann and company face Scotland in the opening game on Friday, June 14, in a Group A clash of the competition.

In another friendly, one of the favorites for the trophy, England, achieved a classic win over Bosnia and Herzegovina, 3:0. At St James' Park, all three goals came after the break. Cole Palmer opened from the penalty spot after exactly an hour of play, and goals from Trent Alexander-Arnold and substitute Harry Kane followed at the end of regular time. The "Three Lions" will play one more friendly before the European championship - with Iceland on June 7.
