Former US presidential candidate Nikki Haley wrote "Finish them" on an Israeli shell as she toured sites near the northern border with Lebanon.
The photo was posted on X by Danny Danon, a member of the Israeli parliament and former UN ambassador who accompanied Haley during her visit.
"Finish them off." This was written by my friend, former ambassador Nikki Haley," Danone said in her post, which showed a kneeling Haley writing on a projectile with a purple pen.
Haley was a hawkish UN envoy under Donald Trump, and her mandate overlapped with Danone's.
The Gaza war was sparked by Hamas' October 7 attack on Israel, which killed 1,189 people, mostly civilians.
The fighters also took 252 hostages, 121 of whom remain in Gaza, including 37 who the army says are dead.
According to data from the Gaza Ministry of Health, at least 36,096 people, mostly civilians, have died in Gaza during Israel's retaliatory offensive.
Haley, 52, dropped her bid for the White House in March after being badly defeated in the Republican primary by Trump, and last week said she would vote for him in the election.
Trump ruled out the possibility of her running as his vice president, but Haley remains a potential candidate for the presidency in 2028. /BGNES
