Nicole Kidman: I dare not see "Babygirl" at the Venice Film Festival

The 57-year-old actress stars as a high-profile executive in the new erotic thriller, but is hesitant to appear at its Venice premiere.

The Oscar winner - who stars in the film alongside Harris Dickinson, Sophie Wilde and Antonio Banderas - told Vanity Fair magazine: "There's something in me that says, 'Okay, this is made for the big screen and to be seen by people. I'm not sure I'm brave enough."

Nicole admits that Babygirl is the standout film of her career.

She shared: "Nobody can boast about being in it: 'I've done films that are quite revealing, but not like this.'

Nicole feels particularly bothered by the sex scenes. The Hollywood star explained: “It's like, oh my god, I'm doing this and now the whole world is actually going to see it. It's a very strange feeling."

Nicole played Zac Efron's on-screen love interest in A Family Affair earlier this year, and the actress previously admitted she found the script a breath of fresh air. | BGNES
