The streaming giant said it ended September with 282.7 million subscribers, reporting a profit of $2.4 billion. Revenue jumped 15% to $9.8 billion compared with the same period a year earlier.
"We executed on our plan to accelerate our business and are excited to finish the year with strong success and a great roster (of shows)," the TV streaming powerhouse said in a letter to investors.
Shows set to launch on Netflix this quarter include the second season of the worldwide hit "Squid Game."

This quarter, Netflix will also air a boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, as well as several U.S. National Football League games at Christmas.
Netflix is regarded as the market master for video content, and Disney+ is still struggling nearly five years after its launch, which included a host of new content from the hit Marvel and Star Wars universes. | BGNES
