The latest NBC News poll shows that support for Donald Trump in the upcoming US presidential election has reached 48%. Kamala Harris has the same support. NBC is calling the results telling, considering the election is just three weeks away. The poll was conducted between October 4-8 and involved 1,000 registered voters.
If the results of the poll are to be believed, the level of support for Vice President Kamala Harris is slightly lower than in September, when it was 49%. On the other hand, Donald Trump saw a noticeable increase - from 44% to 48%. As pollster Jeff Horwitt, who conducted the survey, says, "summer has turned to fall, all signs of a Kamala Harris advantage are gone, now they go hand in hand." According to the expert, the pressure Harris has been under has had an impact. Some voters fear the vice president is no different from President Joe Biden. Ultimately, many in the U.S. perceive a potential Trump presidency in a more positive way than Biden's, the poll concludes.
At the same time, 10 percent of respondents said they might still change their minds and vote for another candidate. In addition, 62% of voters say the upcoming presidential election will "significantly change" their lives - the highest share of respondents with that opinion in NBC News polls since 1992. | BGNES
