Moscow: Zelensky's plan could trigger Russia-NATO war

Moscow has criticised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's newly presented "Victory Plan". According to the Kremlin, the plan risks triggering a direct conflict between NATO and Russia, TASS reported.

"The next point is the strengthening of Ukrainian defenses. Zelensky intends to achieve this, as he said, through point operations at specific locations. Why did he bother to name these specific places? How does he want to achieve this? By inflicting damage on Russian aircraft together with his partners," Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

"He is pushing NATO members towards direct conflict with our country and is again pushing to get permission to use long-range weapons on Russian territory, fully understanding that at least those who wrote these slogans to him were aware of what this would lead to, because the relevant statements were made by the Russian leadership literally a week ago," the spokesperson added.

"This, of course, is not a plan, but a set of incoherent slogans, bloody foaming at the mouth of a neo-Nazi murderer," Zakharova stressed.
