The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that a Russian Su-27 fighter jet prevented an RC-135 reconnaissance aircraft and two Typhoon fighters of the British Air Force from violating the state border over the Black Sea, TASS reported.
"On July 26, Russian airspace control systems over the Black Sea detected air targets approaching the Russian state border. One Su-27 of the Air Defense Force was deployed to prevent the violation of the state border. The Russian fighter jet crew identified the air targets as an RC-135 strategic reconnaissance aircraft and two RAF Typhoon fighters. When the Russian fighter jet approached, the foreign military aircraft deviated from the Russian state border," the Russian military ministry said.
According to the ministry, the Russian plane returned safely to its base airport. | BGNES
