The professional association of airport operators "Airports Council International" (ACI) has announced that it expects more passengers to pass through airports in Europe in 2024 compared to the period before the pandemic.
The number of passengers will increase by 1.4 percent compared to the pre-pandemic 2019, the airport association announced in Brussels. It revised up its forecast for next year after it was announced that passenger traffic through the airports increased by 11.6 per cent year-on-year in August. However, passengers passing through European airports this year are expected to be 4.5 percent below pre-pandemic levels.
