Minnesota upset Denver for second road win in series

Minnesota Timberwolves continued their great run in the playoffs and crushed champions Denver Nuggets 106-80 on the road in the second game of the semifinal series between the two teams. Minnesota's formidable defense once again suffocated two-time League MVP Nikola Jokic and his teammates, who are already in serious danger of an early playoff exit.

In Colorado, the visitors took control of events midway through the first half and began building a lead that reached 32 points in the third quarter. Jokic was limited to 16 points on 38.5 percent shooting, while Jamal Murray made just 3 of 18 attempts for 8 points. On the other end, the absence of center Rudy Gober was not felt, as Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards scored 27 points each, and the Timberwolves shot more than 15 percent better than the opponent.

So Minnesota will have a chance to close out the streak if they take their next two home runs. The team has won all six of their playoff games thus far.

In the other game of the night, the New York Knicks defeated the Indiana Pacers 121-117 at home in the first game of the series. /BGNES
