This came amid a wave of protests against the ongoing war in Gaza on college campuses across the United States.
Mounted officers along with dozens of soldiers in riot gear could be seen in videos shared on social media.
Protesters chanted "You don't scare us" and "Free, free Palestine" as they were dispersed. At least 10 people were detained, the Texas Tribune reported. The protest, organized by the Palestinian Solidarity Committee, was not authorized by the university, according to local media. / BGNES
