AC Milan are through to the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia after beating Cagliari 4-1 at home in their first game of the new year. At the "San Siro", the hosts dominated and pulled away with two goals even before the break after two goals from Luka Jovic. In the second half, Chaka Traore and Rafael Leao also scored for the Rossoneri, while Paulo Dentello Azzi scored the honorable goal for Cagliari.
Milan thus joined Fiorentina, Bologna, Lazio and Frosinone, who have already secured a place in the quarter-finals. In the next round, Stefano Pioli's team will play either Atalanta or Sassuolo. /BGNES
