Michel: At this stage, there is no agreement on the top jobs in the EU

European Council President Charles Michel said EU leaders have yet to reach an agreement on splitting the bloc's top jobs, delaying an expected decision at the June 27-28 summit.

"It was a good conversation. I think he is going in the right direction. But there is no agreement tonight," Michel said, AFP reported.

"It is our collective duty to make a decision by the end of June," he stressed.

Ursula von der Leyen appears to be on course for a second term as head of the European Commission.

The favorite for the presidency of the European Parliament is once again Roberta Mezzola. | BGNES
