A Mexican bargain hunter celebrated a victory over luxury giant Cartier after buying a pair of earrings for just $28, AFP reported.
The French fashion brand got its jewelry prices wrong online... Rogelio Villarreal couldn't believe his eyes when he saw the deal.
Cartier refused to supply the earrings when they realized they had knocked three zeros off the price, instead offering the doctor a refund (and a bottle of champagne).
Villarreal took the plunge and filed a complaint with Mexico's consumer protection agency.
"The war is over. Cartier complies," he wrote on social network X with the earrings that were finally delivered to him. /BGNES
