Kylian Mbappe scored his first hat-trick for Real Madrid, and the team moved four points clear at the top of La Liga after a 3-0 away win over Valladolid in the 21st round of the championship.
The French striker opened the scoring in the 30th minute after a good one-two with Jude Bellingham, doubled 12 minutes after the break after an assist from Rodrigo, and in added time made it 3-0 from a penalty awarded for a foul on Bellingham, for which Mario Martin from the home team received a second yellow card and was sent off.
Real now have 49 points, four more than second-placed Atletico Madrid. Barcelona is in third place with 39 points and a game in hand over its rivals. Valladolid is at the bottom of the table with 15 points.
