Manchester United have completed two inbound transfers in the space of a night, having signed Bayern Munich defenders Matthias de Ligt and Nusair Mazraoui. The "Red Devils" will pay a total of around 60 million euros for the two, and the amount can increase by another 10 million upon the activation of certain bonuses.
De Ligt and Mazraowi are expected to be in line for their new club as early as Friday's Premier League opener against Fulham. The two defenders have already played under manager Erik ten Hag at Ajax. "As soon as I heard that Manchester United wanted me, I felt excited about the possibility of a new challenge at a club with such a rich history. Eric ten Haag shaped the early part of my career, so he knows how to get the best out of me," commented 24- the annual national of the Netherlands De Licht.
"The feeling of signing with Manchester United is great and I can't wait to go to Old Trafford with the red team," commented Moroccan international Mazraoui. Manchester United thus now have four new signings in the summer, having already brought in striker Joshua Zirkzee and centre-back Lenny Yoro. It is expected that the "Red Devils" will be looking for a central midfielder until the end of the transfer window. | BGNES
