Singer Mariah Carey loves cooking during the holidays.
The 55-year-old star was given the honorary title of "Queen of Christmas" thanks to her 1994 hit song "All I Want For Christmas Is You". Carey has 13-year-old twins Marrokan and Monroe Scott from her ex-husband Nick Cannon. She revealed that she and her daughter spent time together in the kitchen over the festive period.
"I love cooking during the holidays. I make linguine with white clam sauce, my dad's favorite recipe. I make it every year and sometimes my daughter Monroe helps me make it. It's something I love to do," the singer told People.
Carrie recently insisted that it's not particularly hard to make her happy at Christmas because she always appreciates the thought and effort people put in to buy a gift they think she'll like.
Asked if she thought she was an easy person to buy a gift for, she said, "I think so because it's the thought that's really important. I know it sounds cliché, but it's true. If someone takes time out of their day and goes to buy you something, that's really important."
Mariah is known for releasing a video every year, usually after Halloween, titled "It's Time," which means she's ready to get into the holiday spirit.
The singer admitted that the videos often take a whole year to prepare.
"I mean, I start thinking about the next one after this year's one comes out. I mean, I just love it, really, it's so much fun. Honestly, I've loved Christmas so much my whole life. It's amazing," she stated. | BGNES
