Marco Rubio is sworn in as US Secretary of State

Senator Marco Rubio was sworn in before Vice President J.D. Vance as the new U.S. Secretary of State.

Rubio said that President Trump's top priority will be protecting US interests. He added that everything the government and the State Department do should make the country stronger, safer or more prosperous.

Vance, who served as a senator alongside Rubio, called him a "bipartisan solution seeker."
