Manchester United handled Wigan and lucked out in the FA Cup draw

Manchester United qualified for the fourth round of the FA Cup after beating Wigan 2-0 away from home. The "Red Devils" dominated their visit to the third division team and failed to record a more expressive success.

The goals for Eric ten Haag's side were scored by Diogo Dallo in the 22nd minute and Bruno Fernandes from the penalty spot in the 74th minute, and the goalposts saved the hosts' goal on several occasions. United's players made a total of 13 accurate shots at the opponent's goal.

So Manchester United are back on the winning track after losing to Nottingham Forest at the end of last year. The Red Devils were also lucky in the draw for the next round, which saw them visit non-professional Eastleigh or Fourth Division Newport, who will play a second leg.

Trophy holders Manchester City will have a tough task in the next round - away to Tottenham, while Chelsea host Aston Villa. Sixth division Maidstone United, who will visit Ipswich Town, continues its participation in the tournament.
