Management, football players, coaches, veterans, employees and fans of Levski gathered at the "Mogilka" in the kindergarten of the 22nd high school in Sofia, where they presented wreaths and flowers on the occasion of the club's 110th anniversary, reported BGNES.
The chairman of the "Blue Hearts" Association, Iliya Hristov, was the first to take the stage, and then there was a solemn water ceremony. Director Oleg Kovachev also gave an emotional speech, club legend Emil Spasov shared the following: "For 110 years, a club has existed, the biggest, the best, the most respected." The Mound celebration was prepared by volunteers from 05:30 this morning. The event was also attended by the former owner of The Blues Thomas Lafchis, Voin Voinov, as well as the last coach who became a champion with the club - Emil Velev. However, the majority owner Nasko Sirakov, who is not in the capital, was not present at the "Mogilka".
During the official part, there was also a ceremony for consecration and receiving a club flag, which the "Blue Hearts" Association donated to Levski. On one side of the flag are written the names of legendary players associated with The Blues, and on the other the words "May God help you in your affairs" - words of VMRO leader Todor Alexandrov from a letter to Levski management. The first three nails were driven by Emil Spasov, the executive director of the club Daniel Borimirov and a small supporter of the club. Flags were prepared for all the children.
The celebrations will continue at the "Georgi Asparuhov" stadium, where the club has prepared more surprises for all their fans. They will end with a 5-hour concert at "Gerena", in which fans will have the opportunity to once again see the trailer of the film about the club legend Georgi Asparuhov-Gundy, which will be released in theaters on October 18. /BGNES
