French President Emmanuel Macron said France would not "succumb to anti-Semitism".
His statement came ahead of the Nations League match in Paris between France and Israel.
"We will not succumb to anti-Semitism anywhere and violence - including in the French Republic - will never prevail, nor will intimidation," Macron told BFMTV television.
The match has been declared high-risk because of violence against Israeli fans in Amsterdam on November 7, after the Europa League match between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Ajax.
Earlier on 14 November, Paris police said they had taken security measures for the upcoming match. Law enforcement authorities stated that for every 5 fans at the Stade de France, there is one police guard.
French police chief Laurent Nunez claimed the match was "high-risk" but that his officers would learn from the scenes in the Netherlands. | BGNES
