Macauley Culkin's Sons Love Home Alone

Macaulay Culkin's three-year-old son loves the movie Home Alone.

The 44-year-old actor stars in the holiday comedy classic as Kevin McCallister. He revealed that his older child Dakota identifies so much with the eight-year-old character that she claims to be a part of the film.

"He thinks he's Kevin. I say to him, "Remember when you were coming down the stairs on the sled?" He replies, "Uh huh, yeah. Of course he did. I say, "Remember when you had yellow hair? And he goes, 'Well, yeah,'" Macauley, who also has a two-year-old son with fiancée Brenda Song, told E! News.

Dakota even believes he "fought the thieves" himself in the movie, leading his famous father to scold him.

He remembers joking, "You're a liar who lies. That was me!"

Although the youngsters love Home Alone, Macauley admitted that they are still too young to understand the plot, so he likes to help explain it to them.

"They can't follow the plot, so I tell it to them as it goes along," the actor said.

The boys still haven't figured out that Kevin is really their father.

"I'm much taller now. I have a lot more body hair. But yeah, that was actually me," he joked.

While Home Alone is many families' favorite holiday movie, Macauley himself revealed that it took him a while to "embrace" the film, though he is now very happy to be a part of people's Christmas traditions.

"I embrace it and at the same time laugh at it. It's a very rare thing that covers an important day, and I'm a part of it. It's more fun to accept it than to fight it," Culkin said.

Macaulay's comments came days after his younger brother Kieron Culkin - who also plays his onscreen cousin Fuller in Home Alone - admitted that he and his wife Jazz Charlton have yet to let their own children, Kinsey, five, and three-year-old Wilder, watch the film as they fear it is too "scary". | BGNES
