Luck helped Manchester United leave with three points from "Craven Cottage"

Manchester United coach Ruben Amorim, who was put under enormous pressure, achieved an important victory at the visit of Fulham in a match of the 23rd round of the Premier League.

The "Red Devils" again showed an unconvincing game and had a serious dose of luck to achieve success with 1:0. The match at "Craven Cottage" was equal, and there were almost no chances in front of both doors. The guests from Manchester were particularly toothless and made one accurate shot in the whole match, which fortunately turned into a goal. This happened in the 78th minute, when central defender Lisandro Martinez decided to shoot from long range, the ball bounced off Sasha Lukic's foot and left goalkeeper Bernd Leno no chance.

The Londoners pressed for an equalizer in the remaining minutes and came close, but United substitute Toby Collier cleared a shot off the line after Andre Onana was tackled. In the very end, Amad Diallo's goal was disallowed for offside after a VAR intervention, and in the end the visitors held on to their lead and took a valuable three points.

After this victory, Manchester United climbed to 12th place in the standings with 29 points, while Fulham is in 10th position, four points higher.

In another match last night, Aston Villa and West Ham drew 1-1 in Birmingham. | BGNES
