The location of Ukrainian weapons systems has been revealed on updated images on Google's free online map, Google Maps.
This was reported by Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Department for Combating Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
The department has tried to contact the US corporation Google to quickly fix the problem, but has not received a quick response.
Following the public reaction, Google representatives have contacted the Ukrainian side and the company is now working to fix the problem, Kovalenko was quoted as saying by the Kyiv Independent.
"In the future, we will also talk about how to quickly solve any (similar) problems," Kovalenko added.
He also said that "Russians are already actively sharing these photos," without revealing further details about the content of the images. | BGNES
