Littler and Van Gerwen to meet in World Darts Championship final

Luke Littler thrashed Stephen Bunting 6-1 to set up a final with Michael van Gerwen at the World Darts Championship, traditionally held at Alexandra Palace in London.

Littler will be in contention for the trophy again after losing to Luke Humphreys in 2024. The 17-year-old saw off Bunting with a match average of 105.48. He hit 13 180s and finished with a 44% success rate on doubles.

In the opening semi-final, Van Gerwen saw off Chris Dobey with the same score. This will be his seventh career final, as he bids for a fourth world title after winning in 2014, 2017 and 2019.

The final between Littler and Van Gerwen, who have faced each other 12 times and have won six apiece, is tonight and starts at 9:30 PM Bulgarian time. | BGNES
