Italian sports publication Tuttosport has announced the shortlist of 25 candidates for the Golden Boy award - the trophy for the Best Young Footballer Under 21. Jude Bellingham's successor will be announced on December 17 in Turin.
Before the English international and the Real Madrid player, the prize was won by Barcelona players Pedri and Gavi in 2021 and 2022 respectively. The other two Spaniards to win the title are Cesc Fabregas (2006) and Isco (2012).
Among the 25 on this year's shortlist are four Spaniards - 17-year-old Lamine Yamal, who became European champion with Spain in the summer, Samu Omorodion, Pau Cubarsi and Cristhian Mosquera.
Tuttosport have secured five wild cards for the award - Wilson Odobert, Andreas Schjelderup, Endrik, Salim Ben Seghir and Samuel Mbangula.
