"We are working hard to solve all the problems with Poland and Hungary. We continued to export goods through the Black Sea and effectively defeated the Russian Black Sea fleet.
This was stated by the Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba at a special press conference for foreign media, to which BGNES news agency was invited.
"We are working hard to normalize relations with Hungary. We know each other well with Peter Szijjártó (Hungary's foreign minister). We have a great desire to improve our relations, a month ago we launched a plan to address the pressing issues between the countries. We count on Budapest not to block NATO and EU assistance to Ukraine."
"We have no problems with Poland, only in agricultural trade there are tensions. I urge not to politicise such disputes. We are working to reach a solution," Kuleba added.
Kuleba said he was shocked that the United States had not yet approved a new military aid package.
"What really matters and what shocks us is that the decision has not yet been taken," he added.
"It's coming to the end of March and discussions are continuing, discussions on the issue of vital interest, the strategic interest of the United States in Europe," Culeba said.
His comments come a day after President Volodymyr Zelensky stressed that a quick decision by Congress was "critically important" during a meeting with US Senator Lindsey Graham.
The foreign minister said countries should not give in to Russia's blackmail and threats.
"Ukraine is an example that Putin's threats and blackmail do not work. Russia pulled out of the grain deal and declared a 'blockade' over our ports. We continued to export goods and effectively defeated the Russian Black Sea fleet. Determination trumps blackmail."
Kuleba also commented on the expected summit in Switzerland:
"The meeting will happen, but the organization is slow, there are no exact dates and no invited countries for now. It takes time for such meetings, but for us the realisation of the meeting is a priority".
Kuleba noted that the countries of the Global South are closely watching the development of the hostilities and their diplomacy is changing depending on what is happening on the front.
"The countries of the Global South mainly take the Ukrainian side when Kiev has the initiative, when the initiative changes, they take a more balanced approach."
"Security in many of these countries depends on a Ukrainian victory because if Putin is allowed to do whatever he wants. The insecurity in these countries will increase," Kuleba added.
He said China could contribute to the end of the war in Ukraine because of the good ties between Beijing and Moscow. /BGNES
