Kim Jong Un directs artillery fire near the South Korean border

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un directs artillery fire by the Korean People's Army, which took place near the border with South Korea.
"During the exercise on March 7, the units put the enemy's capital within striking range and carried out important military missions to deter war," the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said.
South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said the North Korean military had tested multiple rocket launchers and self-propelled artillery shells towards the Yellow Sea.
JCS said it was monitoring the North's military actions at a time when joint military exercises between South Korea and the United States were underway. The exercise, known as Freedom Shield, began on March 4, involving twice as many military personnel as last year.
The March 7 artillery exercise by North Korea was aimed at increasing combat readiness and actual combat capability, KCNA reported.
Kim called on the military to advance preparations so that artillery units can "take the initiative with ruthless and swift strikes at the moment of their entry into actual war"./BGNES
