Kevin Spacey marked his return to Hollywood with a racy reprisal as a hitman.
The 64-year-old "American Beauty" actor, who was acquitted in July 2023 on charges that he sexually assaulted four men, landed the role of a hitman in the thriller "Peter Five Eight," with the film's trailer showing his character disposing of a corpse, holding a terrified woman at knifepoint and calling himself a "fallen soul."
The trailer also shows how the killer, played by Kevin, spends the night with a woman named Brenda, played by 64-year-old Rebecca De Morney, and shoots a man in broad daylight.
The tagline of the film, written and directed by Michael Zaiko Hall, reads, "In this town, nothing is what it seems."
Spacey was acquitted of the alleged sexual assaults on July 26 last year when a jury at Southwark Crown Court in London ruled the actor not guilty of all charges.
On the steps of the court after the verdict was handed down, the 'Usual Suspects' actor said, "I guess many of you can understand that it's very difficult for me to deal with what has just happened today. But I would like to say that I am extremely grateful to the jury for taking the time to carefully examine all the evidence and all the facts before coming to their decision. I am humbled by today's result." /BGNES
