Kate Middleton honored John Lennon and George Michael with a Christmas concert

Kate Middleton wove emotional tributes into her "Together on Christmas" Christmas concert.

On December 8, the 41-year-old Princess of Wales hosted the festive service at Westminster Abbey for the third year in a row. This year's event featured a slice of pop history honoring John Lennon and George Michael, People reported.
During the program, British radio host and mental health advocate Roman Kemp, 30, son of pop stars Martin Kemp and Shirley Holliman, introduced singer-songwriter Jacob Collier's rendition of "Last Christmas," which he performed on piano. which originally belonged to Beatles frontman Lennon and was once owned by Michael.

"Last Christmas" was originally sung by Michael, Kemp's late godfather, through his duo Wham! with Andrew Ridgeley in 1984. Michael died on Christmas Day 2016, and his godfather remembered him on Together at Christmas as "a man of great kindness and compassion", adding that he was there "in spirit".

He "helped inspire not only myself, but many others," said Kemp./BGNES
