Kamala Harris dismissed Trump's "games" about the date of the presidential debate

US Vice President Kamala Harris's team has rejected Donald Trump's request that he be willing to debate her on Fox News after he refused to participate in an already scheduled debate on ABC.

"Donald Trump is running scared and trying to back out of a debate he's already agreed to. He's running straight to Fox News to save himself," Harris campaign communications director Michael Tyler said. "He should stop playing games and appear at the debate on September 10, which he has already committed to," he added, quoted by AFP.

Trump's post this morning came hours after Harris secured the Democratic nomination to be the party's presidential nominee in November's election.

Trump's bid for the White House turned upside down on July 21 when 81-year-old President Biden, facing growing concerns about his age and lagging poll results, withdrew his bid and endorsed Harris.

Biden withdrew after his disastrous performance in the June CNN debates against Trump. The second televised debate between the two was scheduled for September 10 on ABC. | BGNES
