Justin Timberlake introduced his fans to new music as a solo artist for the first time in almost six years.
The 42-year-old American singer presented a small part of the new song "Selfish" on Instagram. Timberlake performed a sold-out concert at the Orpheus Theater in Memphis, Tennessee.
The short video, titled One Night Only, shows Timberlake walking around the venue before the show with a microphone in hand.
In videos taken at the event, Timberlake can be heard telling the audience: "New music? Well, we didn't come here for nothing, did we? Okay, let's do it. The song is called 'Selfish.'
After the performance, Timberlake posted another clip on his Instagram page with the caption, "Justin Timberlake Presents: Everything I Thought It Was."
Rumored to be the title of a new album, the singer stares into a distant sunset with his back to the camera, while Puerto Rican actor Benicio del Toro narrates: "Ah, it's Justin. Why isn't he turning around. What the hell is he staring at? "
The Man Of The Woods star's last album, which included hits such as Say Something and Morning Light, was released almost six years ago in February 2018.
He has since featured in the 2021 song Innocent with Justine Skye and the 2022 song Stay With Me alongside Calvin Harris, Halsey and Pharrell Williams.
In 2023, the singer released his first song in more than 20 years with the band En Sync, called Better Place, after they reunited for the movie Trolls: The Gang Gets Together.
According to the Official Charts Company, Timberlake has four UK number one singles with SexyBack (2006), Give It To Me with Timbaland and Nelly Furtado (2007), 4 Minutes with Madonna (2008) and Mirrors (2013) .).
He also has three UK number one albums with Justified (2002), FutureSex/LoveSounds (2006) and The 20/20 Experience (2013).
