Joshua knocks out Ngannou in second round in Riyadh

Anthony Joshua recorded one of the easiest victories of his career. The British boxing star beat the Cameroonian Francis Ngannou.

The two were the attraction of the boxing gala evening in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The former world champion didn't give Ngannou any chances and knocked him down in the first round. In the second, another knockdown ensued, after which Francis stood up and continued. It was a mistake because seconds later Joshua knocked him out brutally.

It was AJ's 28th win in the professional ring, with 25 of them coming by knockout. He also has three losses (one to Andy Ruiz by knockout and two to Oleksandr Usyk by decision). Ngannou lost by knockout for the first time in his professional career. This defeat will certainly lower his stock, but it also earns the Cameroonian $20 million.

Joshua, for his part, earned over $50 million. He announced that he would wait for the winner of the Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk fight to try to become a three-time world champion with the undisputed title on the line once it was unified. /BGNES
