"As much as I love Tony, Friday's game will be the last of his career. We hope to send him into retirement." This was announced by Spain striker Joselu to Germany star Toni Kroos before the quarter-final clash between the two teams on Friday.
Kroos has already announced that after the end of the European Championship, he will end his career. "It was an honor to play alongside Toni. He embodies all the values of Real Madrid and was an excellent teammate. I learned a lot from him," commented Joselu, who won the Champions League with Kroos last season.
For his part, Kroos responded to Joselu's threat. "I understand why he said that, but we also have something to offer. The Spanish are playing well, but so are we. We can expect an interesting match. I will try to spoil his desire," said Kroos.
The match between Spain and Germany will be played on Friday at 19:00. | BGNES
