Nuggets star Nikola Jokic scored 48 points for the win after a career-high 56 in a loss to the Washington Wizards in the previous game of Denver. The Serbian added 14 rebounds, 8 assists and 3 steals. Michael Porter Jr. contributed 26 points, while Christian Brown scored 17. Julian Strawther finished with 13 points off the bench.
For the Hawks De’Andre Hunter was above everyone with 20 points. Dyson Daniels added 18, Larry Nance Jr. added 16, and Trae Young had a double-double with 15 points and 10 assists. Onyeka Okongwu had 14 points and nine rebounds, and rookie Zaccharie Risacher had 10 points.
Atlanta is seventh in the East with a 13-12 record, while Denver is in the same position in the Western Conference with 12 wins and 10 losses. The Nuggets next host the LA Clippers, while the Hawks play the New York Knicks.
