According to documents obtained by Fox News Digital, the divorce filing cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their separation.
The "Love Don't Cost a Thing" singer has listed April 26 as the date of their separation. In addition, Lopez has stated that she does not want either her or Affleck to be awarded spousal support, according to court documents.
She filed the divorce papers on the two-year anniversary of the couple's wedding ceremony in Georgia.
Affleck, 52, and Lopez, 55, first said "I do" to each other during a surprise wedding in Las Vegas in July 2022.
Court documents at the time show that the performer, listed as "party 2," requested a "new name" on their filed marriage license, which was first obtained on July 16 and filed with the Clark County Clerk's Office the next day.
Affleck was listed as "Party 1" on the document, and his full name was recorded as "Benjamin Geza Affleck." Lopez legally adopted her husband's last name and changed her name to "Jennifer Lynn Affleck."
