Jennifer Lopez relieved after it became clear why she filed for divorce from Ben Affleck

It's been twenty years since Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck first met and started dating. This led to the annulment of their wedding in 2003 and their complete separation in 2004.

But when they started dating again in 2022 and got married, everyone thought it would last forever.
However, this continued until rumors intensified due to the absence of a wedding ring on Jennifer's hand during the 4th of July festivities. That's where all the drama started.

While it looked like it may have been a rough time for the singer and actor, she's apparently ready to move on after officially filing for divorce last week.

Jennifer Lopez appears to be "doing the best she can" after filing without a lawyer on Aug. 20, the day of her two-year wedding anniversary.

“It was extremely difficult for her that Ben decided to walk away from their marriage and move on with his life, leaving her behind. She didn't want a divorce. To explain things. They love each other. Jennifer is not the type of person to just give up. It was almost torture for her to wait. But after filing for divorce, she seems relieved,” a source close to her told People.

When news of the star couple's split broke on August 21, fans finally had answers about the state of their relationship after signs of trouble in their relationship.

A source told the Daily Mail that the divorce papers "were finalized a month earlier but they were 'waiting for the right time to file them.'

According to the divorce papers, Lopez dated their separation as April 26, which was well before everyone knew it was over between them. But there were signs.

Additional court documents show she confirmed that "irreconcilable differences" were the reason for their divorce.

Affleck even moved out and bought his own home on her birthday.

In July, the actor did not attend the premiere of his wife's Netflix film Atlas in Mexico. There, she directly addressed the divorce rumors, telling reporters, "You know better than that."

Last month, the couple put their 12-bedroom, 24-bathroom California mansion on the market for $68,000,000, cementing rumors of a split.

So, the second time around has been a crazy ride for the couple, and maybe that's the end of Bennifer for good. | BGNES
