Jennifer Lopez and husband Ben Affleck don't plan to cut ties completely after finalizing their divorce.
The 55-year-old singer and actress and the 52-year-old actor and director hope to stay "connected" after their separation is official.
They intend to continue being in each other's lives despite not having a romantic relationship.
The latest update on the couple's behind-the-scenes interaction comes nearly four months after Lopez filed divorce papers with Affleck on Aug. 20, which marked two years since their wedding.
Lopez and Affleck's children were often inseparable early in their relationship and marriage, and they reportedly played a role in keeping the exes in orbit, as the source added that they "communicate when it comes to their kids."
Affleck has three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner - Violet, 18, Finn, 15, and Samuel, 12, while Lopez has 16-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony. | BGNES
