Jada Pinkett Smith said her marriage to Will Smith was saved by the actor's performance at the Oscars last year, when Will took to the stage and publicly slammed comedian Chris Rock over his joke about Jada suffering from alopecia. In an interview with the Daily Mail, Pinkett Smith admitted that before this incident, she had been thinking about leaving her husband for many years, as the couple's relationship had long ceased to be romantic. It was recently revealed that Jada and Will actually separated seven years ago, although they remained officially married and continued to support each other as friends.
Jada wasn't sure if she should stay in this official marriage, but everything changed after this Oscar. "That slap was enough for me to know that I would never leave him. Who knows what our relationship would have been like if that hadn't happened. I call Will's action a 'holy slap' because a lot of good things happened after him," shared the actress.
She previously said her relationship with Will Smith has deepened since the incident. "I didn't think in a million years that he would come on stage and it would have anything to do with me," Jada wrote in her memoir.
Also in an interview with Red, she said, "I was just really worried about Will. At that point, I knew that no matter how difficult our relationship was, I was always going to be there for him, no matter what."
Meanwhile, Will Smith on the sidelines of the Art Basel contemporary art fair spends time with a mysterious stranger, who fans of the actor called a copy of his wife. Smith has been seen twice already in the company of a woman with a shaved head and he looked very happy. However, the couple drifted apart and it is impossible to say for sure what kind of relationship they have. /BGNES
