Ja Morant breaks Minnesota with two late shots

The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 127-125 on the road in an NBA regular-season game. Grizzlies star Ja Morant scored just 12 points in the game, but scored the final two baskets of the game to tie the game and then give the Grizzlies the win.

The game in Minneapolis was very even, with neither team leading by more than six points, and the lead changed hands 26 times. The Grizzlies, however, were the more aggressive team, taking 108 shots, 25 more than their opponent, although with a much lower success rate.

Jaron Jackson Jr. had 33 points and eight rebounds for Memphis, while Desmond Bayne added 21 points, five rebounds and five assists. For the Timberwolves, Donte DiVincenzo finished with 27 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, Jaden McDaniels scored 21 points, but Anthony Edwards had a rough day, making just four of 13 attempts, including two missed three-pointers in the final eight seconds with the Grizzlies ahead by two points.

Memphis is third in the West with a 25-14 record, while Minnesota is eighth in the same conference with 20-18 wins.
