Seven foreign aid workers and their Palestinian driver were killed in Gaza when an Israeli strike hit their car, AFP reported.
The Hamas-controlled Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip said the five "martyrs" arrived at a hospital in Deir el-Bala after "an Israeli strike targeted a vehicle belonging to the American organization World Central Kitchen (WCK)".
"They are of British, Australian and Polish nationality, and the nationality of the fourth is American," another health ministry statement said, adding that the fifth person killed was a Palestinian driver and translator.
The US-based NGO said it was "aware of reports" that members of its staff "were killed in an IDF strike while working to support our humanitarian food delivery efforts in Gaza".
The Israeli military said in its own statement that it was "conducting a thorough investigation at the highest level to understand the circumstances of this tragic incident" and added that it was "working closely with the WCK" in efforts to provide aid to the Palestinians.
At Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir el-Bala, an AFP correspondent saw five bodies with three foreign passports lying nearby.
