The Israeli military (IDF) said it struck more than 280 Hezbollah targets in Lebanon on September 25, AFP reported.
"A total of more than 280 targets of the Hezbollah terrorist organization were struck today in Lebanon, and the IDF continues to strike additional targets," the military said.
According to Lebanese Health Minister Firas Abyad, 51 people were wounded as a result of the strikes and 220 others were injured.
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said more than 90,000 people have been displaced in Lebanon.
"Since 23 September, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) has registered 90,530 newly displaced persons," the office said.
On 23 September, air strikes on Lebanon killed 558 people, according to Lebanese authorities - the worst single-day death toll since the end of that country's civil war (1975-1990).
Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib said the number of displaced people in Lebanon "is probably approaching half a million".
Earlier on 25 September, Hezbollah announced that it had fired a ballistic missile targeting the headquarters of Israel's Mossad intelligence agency near Tel Aviv.
The Israeli military reported that it had intercepted a missile fired from Lebanon.
In connection with that strike, the US said it was 'deeply concerned'.
"It's certainly deeply troubling, certainly for the Israelis, but also for us. There is still time and space here for a diplomatic solution that de-escalates tensions and prevents all-out war," White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said. | BGNES
