ISIS calls for terrorist attacks on Champions League quarter-finals

The terrorist group "Islamic State" (ISIS) has called for attacks on the major derbies of the 1/4-final phase of the Champions League tournament.

In its publication, Al-Azaim Foundation, the group's media outlet, targeted Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid's Emirates Stadium, Parc des Princes, Santiago Bernabeu and Wanda Metropolitano respectively. The post was accompanied by the caption "Kill them all" and an image of a man dressed in black holding a firearm.

While sporting events and stadiums have been targeted by ISIS in the past, the terrorist group is not known for announcing its targets in advance, but rather acting by surprise.

The quarter-finals in the Champions League begin tonight with the derbies Arsenal - Bayern Munich and Real Madrid - Manchester City, while tomorrow are the matches Paris Saint-Germain - Barcelona and Atletico Madrid - Borussia Dortmund. /BGNES
