In Washington, Netanyahu called for a global alliance against Iran

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called for a global alliance against Iran, which he has accused of funding anti-war protests in the US. This happened during Netanyahu's speech to the US Congress, in which he declared that the enemies of Israel are also enemies of the US.
As Netanyahu spoke to Congress, thousands of demonstrators gathered outside the Capitol to denounce Israel's handling of the war in the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli prime minister hit back by accusing Iran of funding and encouraging anti-war protests. Netanyahu called Gaza peace activists "Iran's useful idiots."
"Today, America and Israel can create a security alliance in the Middle East to counter the growing Iranian threat," the prime minister told US lawmakers.
"All countries that are at peace with Israel and all those countries that will make peace with Israel should be invited to join this alliance," Netanyahu said.
“Iran is the axis of terror behind almost all sectarian killings in the Middle East. The US and Israel must stand together against Tehran and its proxies. Our enemies are also your (US) enemies. Our struggle is your struggle too. And our victory will be your victory," emphasized the head of the Israeli government.
Netanyahu expressed confidence that the efforts to release the hostages held by Hamas will bear fruit.
"I am convinced that these efforts can succeed. I want to thank President Joe Biden for his tireless efforts on behalf of the hostages," said Israel's prime minister.
Netanyahu called on Washington to speed up military aid to his country to end the war in the Gaza Strip.
"Accelerating US military aid could greatly accelerate the end of the war in Gaza and help prevent a wider war in the Middle East," the Israeli prime minister said.
He laid out his vision for a "post-war Gaza Strip", saying security in the Palestinian enclave could only be guaranteed through "demilitarization and de-radicalisation".
Netanyahu thanked Donald Trump for everything he did for Israel while he was US president.
"I want to thank President Trump for all the things he has done for Israel. From recognizing Israel's sovereignty over the Golan Heights, through opposing Iran's aggression, to recognizing Jerusalem as our capital and moving the American embassy there," said the head of the Israeli government. | BGNES
