Imane Khelif will file a lawsuit after the published medical report

Imane Khelif will file a lawsuit after a medical report appeared in the media, proving that the Algerian boxer is a biological male. This was announced by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

BGNES recalls that the French journalist Djafaar Ait Aoudia published a medical report from June last year, which confirmed that Khelif is a biological man. According to the report, the Algerian woman was born with "testicles" and a "micro-penis". It also indicates "absence of uterus", the presence of testicles in the abdominal area", "blind vagina" and a micro-penis in the form of "hypertrophy of the clitoris".

In addition, Khelif also suffers from 5-alpha deficiency - it mainly affects males during childbirth and affects the normal growth of the sexual organs. Due to the deficiency, male babies are misclassified as female due to the presence of deformed genitalia. The medical report also suggested that Khelif was likely born "to parents who may have been related to her" and recommended "surgical intervention and hormone therapy".

All this comes to light after Khelif became the Olympic champion at the Summer Games in Paris. Last year, she was disqualified from the World Cup for failing gender identity tests.

"Imane Khelif has filed a lawsuit against those who commented on her condition during the Paris 2024 Games, and will also file one in response to the medical report that has emerged. The IOC will not comment while the case is pending or on media reports of unauthenticated documents whose provenance cannot be confirmed. All the athletes who participated in the boxing tournament at the Paris Olympics fulfilled all the criteria and requirements for participation, including the medical ones. As in previous Olympic boxing tournaments, the gender and age of the athletes is based on information from their passports. The IOC is dedicated to protecting the human rights of all athletes who have participated in the Olympic Games. The IOC is saddened by the insults Imane Khelif is currently receiving", the International Olympic Committee said in a statement. | BGNES
