ICC seeks arrest warrant for Netanyahu and Galant

The International Criminal Court (ICC) is seeking arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Galant, AFP reports.

Netanyahu is being accused ofwar crimes and crimes against humanity committed in the Gaza Strip.

"Based on the evidence gathered and examined by our office, we have reasonable grounds to believe that Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, and Yoav Galant, Minister of Defense of Israel, are criminally responsible for war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in the territory of the State of Palestine (in Gaza) since at least October 8, 2023," the ICC, which is based in The Hague, said in a statement. / BGNES
